NDA is an affordable housing development consulting firm who has has been partnering with non-profit organizations, for-profit developers, and municipalities since 1999 with a mission to help create safe, decent, and affordable housing for Hoosiers. We work with a wide variety of development team members including Board Members, Executive Directors, Banks/Loan Officers, and Housing Authorities. Since 2017, NDA has helped to secure over $12.6 million in grant funding for a variety of affordable housing projects throughout the state.
Christine Deutscher joined the Neighborhood Development team in January 2017 and took over ownership of the organization in January 2021. She has taken several courses in grant administration and housing finance, and has earned certifications as a Federal Community Development Block Grant Administrator from the Indiana Office of
Community and Rural Affairs, a Certified Aging in Place Specialist from the National
Association of Home Builders, and as a Housing Development Finance Professional from the National Development Council. Christine has prepared ten successful applications for HOME and CDBG funding through the IHCDA and local participating jurisdictions as well as six successful AHP Applications from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis with award funding totaling more than $12.6 million. Additionally, Christine has experience with project development and feasibility, as well as administering HOME, CDBG, and FHLBI grant funding. She previously interned with two South Bend nonprofit organizations, St. Joseph County Bridges Out of Poverty, and Camp Millhouse, Inc. where she prepared successful grant applications for both organizations. Christine earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Indiana University South Bend. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the AARP St. Joseph County Age-Friendly Initiative as well as Board Member of the St. Joseph County Area Board of Zoning Appeals.
